Gaddafi Dead – So What?

What a myopic view the Western media and its array of “experts” have concerning the so-called “Arab Spring” — a myopia that naturally metastasizes among the general public.

Consider the Libyan crisis. As usual, the focus is entirely on the individual, on the tangible — the now dead Gaddafi — whom all the blame can be heaped upon, while the existentialist elephant in the room, the real mover and shaker, the spirit of the age behind all these uprisings, is never acknowledged. Egypt: Destroying Churches, One at a Time

What clearer sign that Egypt is turning rabidly Islamist than the fact that hardly a few weeks go by without a church being destroyed, or without protesting Christians being attacked and slaughtered by the military? Continue reading Egypt: Destroying Churches, One at a Time

Arabic Culture Studies, Lesson #1: Hostage-taking

and how to get the most out of it without shame:

Cairo is demanding that Israel free 81 Egyptian prisoners in exchange for the freedom of an American-Israeli student accused of “spying.”

The demand was presented during the visit of U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who traveled to Cairo partly with the intention of bringing Ilan Grapel back with him to the U.S. with him following talks.

[…]

Ilan Grapel, 27, is a dual national who served as a paratrooper in the IDF prior to entering Atlanta, Georgia-based Emory Law School. He reportedly had gone to Egypt to study Arabic culture, having had a lifelong interest in the subject.

Sarkozy, Cameron, Hague, where the hell are you?

We have a new youth revolution going on here in Yemen, including one freedom square, one  “famous holocaust” (50 dead), plus one democratic transitional council president with Islamic prayer bump (like Abdul-Jalil), who says:

The revolution has started in Taiz and everyone knows it is a peaceful revolution. Taiz citizens have stayed peaceful in an unimaginable manner. In spite of the sacrifices they offered, the regime decides to attack this marvelous aspect by its soldiers, the aspect that represents a culture and civilization of a nation. As a result, the regime military lately at night occupied the Freedom Square and committed the famous holocaust which was planned on the same day of Al Karamah Friday in which 50 of revolutionists were killed. [emphasis mine, rest not mine] Continue reading Sarkozy, Cameron, Hague, where the hell are you?

While everyone whines and whips Jews because it’s so “provocative” that some of them still build houses in Israel,

here is what is happening in an already totally judenrein “country” thanks to such great advocates of Arab democracy as Hague, Cameron, Sarkozy (and Caruana Galizia):

In North Africa, the Al Qaeda leader [Ayman Zuwahiri] has learned that the Muslim extremists fighting in Libya’s National Transitional Council ranks against Muammar Qaddafi have cemented their control not just of Tripoli, the capital, but also of Tobruk near the Egyptian border. DEBKAfile‘s counter-terror sources report that those Islamists, while pretending to defer to the NTC, in fact deny its officials access to the key Libyan cities under their fists.

This is the first time that military forces linked to Al Qaeda have attained control of major Mediterranean ports and the use of a military airfield. [DEBKAfile, today, emphasis mine.]

How reassuring that the worst that can happen there is – in the wise words of Daphne Caruana Galizia – “the equivalent of what would happen if the Vatican were to take over the running of, say, Malta”!

Give or take a few more beheadings, stonings, chopping of fingertips and clitorises, perhaps.

“Two-state solution”: “Fatah official describes the PLO’s real goals”

Abbas Zaki: The settlement should be based upon the borders of June 4, 1967. When we say that the settlement should be based upon these borders, President [Abbas] understands, we understand, and everybody knows that the greater goal cannot be accomplished in one go.

If we say that we want to wipe Israel out… C’mon, it’s too difficult. It’s not [acceptable] policy to say so. Don’t say these things to the world. Keep it to yourself.

Fatah official describes the PLO’s real goals

From MEMRI:

Following are excerpts from an interview with Abbas Zaki, member of the Fatah Central Committee, which aired on the Al-Jazeera network on September 23, 2011.

Abbas Zaki: The settlement should be based upon the borders of June 4, 1967. When we say that the settlement should be based upon these borders, President [Abbas] understands, we understand, and everybody knows that the greater goal cannot be accomplished in one go.

If Israel withdraws from Jerusalem, evacuates the 650,000 settlers, and dismantles the wall – what will become of Israel? It will come to an end.

[…]

Who is nervous, upset, and angry now? Netanyahu, Lieberman, and Obama… All those scumbags. Why even get into this? We should be happy to see Israel upset.

[…]

If we say that we want to wipe Israel out… C’mon, it’s too difficult. It’s not [acceptable] policy to say so. Don’t say these things to the world. Keep it to yourself.

I want the resolutions that everybody agrees upon. I say to the world, to the Quartet, and to America: You promised, and you turned out to be liars.

The PLO’s Phased Plan is in full swing.

Then why does the rest of the “West” support the “Palestinians,” whatever they do, in any way?

September 23, 2011

“Abbas’ speech provides all the evidence as to why there is no peace. His distorted view of history of the Holy Land, speaks of ‘the ascension of the Prophet Mohammad and the birthplace of Jesus Christ,’ but has no room for Jewish prophets like Isaiah or Jeremiah or King David or King Solomon,” charged Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, Founder and Dean and Associate Dean of the leading Jewish Human Rights NGO. Hello, Dr George Vella, here are a few more talking points for you and your party!

Today the Times of Malta reported that

[PL] Party foreign affairs spokesman George Vella said it was not enough for [Maltese Prime Minister] Dr Gonzi to have called for a renewal of talks between Israel and the Palestinians. His failure to publicly declare support for the recognition of Palestinian statehood, made by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, showed lack of respect to the Palestinians.

Dr George Vella is so right. Continue reading Hello, Dr George Vella, here are a few more talking points for you and your party!

“Peacefully” implementing the PA’s “statehood” bid

On the same day Abbas was making his “demands” at the podium of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, terrorists in a car on Highway 60 hurled a large, deadly sharp-edged rock at the windshield of 25-year-old Asher Palmer, smashing the driver square in the face and sending his car careening out of control. He and his 10-month-old son Yonatan were killed in what police initially reported to be a “motor vehicle accident” — but what settlers immediately and correctly suspected had been a terror attack. A Tale of Two Apostasies

Cases dealing with apostasy in Islam—whereby Muslims who convert to other religions are tortured and executed—are on the rise and need to be acknowledged for what they are: one of Islam’s most visible attempts to suppress the human conscience—a phenomenon that has dire implications beyond religious freedom. Consider these two recent stories. First, from Somalia:

A kidnapped Christian convert from Islam was found decapitated on Sept. 2 … Juma Nuradin Kamil was forced into a car by three suspected Islamic extremists from the al-Shabaab terrorist group on Aug. 21, area sources said. After members of his community thoroughly combed the area looking for him, at 2 p.m. on Sept. 2 one of them found Kamil’s body dumped on a street. The kidnapping and subsequent manner of murder suggests that al-Shabaab militants had been monitoring him, Christian leaders said. Muslim extremists from al-Shabaab, a militant group with ties to al Qaeda, have vowed to rid Somalia of Christianity. Continue reading A Tale of Two Apostasies

Compulsory for whom it may concern: Preventative explanation vis-a-vis any future accusations leveled against Daphne Caruana Galizia of having promoted Islamic jihad in Libya, Malta and beyond

“Ein Gedankenstrich ist zumeist ein Strich durch den Gedanken.” – Karl Kraus

In the near or in a farther future, some people will certainly try to hurt Maltese columnist Daphne Caruana Galizia by suggesting that she did not warn of the dangers of the “Libyan revolution.” Apart from the fact that it is highly questionable whether such is the task of a true journalist (since when are journalists responsible for anything having to do with the truth or even for the promotion of mass murder?), for all critical people who intend to defend her from any of those attacks, here is some evidence to the fact that her accusers will indeed be totally wrong. “The most authentic representation of the general dynamics of the UN you’ll ever see set to music” (Caroline Glick)

The complete “Tribal Update,” including the “introduction” of the song:

Sultan Knish: “The End of Palestine”

The flag is already so convincing. So even without having read it, I recommend this recent post by Daniel Greenfield for reading, hoping he will not be angry at me for having copied the first part of it.

In the spring of 1964, while the Vietnam War was underway, the space program had brought close up photos of the moon, and the Beatles were topping the charts; the Arab League convened to try and find a way to complete the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel. They had tried it once before in 1948, with incomplete results. Back then, the Arab forces had managed to capture and ethnically cleanse the eastern half of Jerusalem, as well as seizing and annexing the West Bank and Gaza. But for 16 years, Israel had managed to frustrate their designs by stubbornly continuing to exist. Continue reading Sultan Knish: “The End of Palestine”

Instability Spreading

by Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi
The American Spectator
September 19, 2011

Since the de facto downfall of the Gaddafi regime, much analysis has justifiably focused on the questions of Libya’s internal dynamics and future stability. However, the possible implications on the security of the wider region, extending south through the Sahel to Nigeria, have been less widely considered.

One cause for concern that should have been raised during NATO’s campaign in Libya was the fact that airstrikes did not target Gaddafi’s vast stockpiles of missiles and other arms. The predictable result of this massive error has been that several arms depots — including one that contains SA-7b Grail heat-seeking missiles imported by the Gaddafi regime from former Soviet bloc countries — have been found looted in Tripoli.
