The chance to redeem ourselves

After Libya, Bahrain? (Seems like “this is getting repetitive”*!)
Are these the next civilians the West is ‘responsible to protect’?
I.e. after these Libyan opposition guys – or at the same time?
(Just one example: “The people of Ar Rajbaan”)
Or will it be Hamas, directly, instead of, as until now, indirectly?
I know I am not being very fair, but the first link to the “Interim Transitional National Council”‘s Site I saw – the link above the second video points to the “Allegiances” page of that “Council” – was promoted without any scruples by someone – Daphne Caruana Galizia – who thinks she is fighting for “Libyan [!] freedom” and accuses anyone who maybe just does not want to let himself and his country be dragged into a fight between Islamic tribes, as a coward; and the only thing which most of the current “experts'” evaluations and many of the Western politicians’ decisions seem to be based on are good intentions, and that doesn’t bode well at all indeed.
Update (21/3/2011):
As far as the the poor suppressed “civilians” of Bahrain are concerned, it seems that – to paraphrase two famous anti-Islamophobic ideologues and community or, maybe “better,” Ummah organizers – Barack Hussein Obama (USA) and, to get repetitive here too, Daphne Caruana Galizia (Malta), the first (un-)State ‘on the right side of history’ in taking the lead there is not France, but Iran:
Shia-News, a site associated with Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi (a hard-line Shiite Twelver and an influential figure in the suppression of Iranians during their uprising to protest the fraudulent presidential election of 2009), is registering volunteers to participate in suicide bombings against Saudi interests around the world. Hundreds have already registered. Reports from inside Iran indicate that an alert has gone out to the Revolutionary Guards Quds forces throughout the world to prepare for attacks on Saudi establishments.

March 19, 2011 – Ebrahim Mehtari, a young political activist who was arrested and physically abused in prison during the post-election events of 2009, sustained several knife wounds last night in Paris when he was attacked by two men, one of whom was Iranian. An hour ago, Mehtari told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that as his assailants put a rope around his neck they used a knife to attack him. He could have faced a much more serious fate had the sound of a police car siren not suddenly scared them away. Child murder – an “heroic” act of Palestinian “resistance” and tool of Islamic “democratisation”
At least two Palestinians armed with knives stabbed the mother, father and three of the children, aged, 11, three and a baby of a month in their sleep at Itamar, south of Nablus early Saturday. Two small children were not attacked. Their sister aged 12 found them when she returned home at 12:30 and called for help. Magen David Adom paramedics could only confirm the five deaths. The Middle East, the Maghreb, and the West: The bigger picture, described by Caroline Glick
So long as the Iranian regime remains in power, it will be that much harder for the Egyptians to build an open democracy or for the Saudis to open the kingdom to liberal voices and influences. The same is true of virtually every country in the region. Iran is the primary regional engine of war, terror, nuclear proliferation and instability. As long as the regime survives, it will be difficult for liberal forces in the region to gain strength and influence.
On February 24, the mullahs reportedly arrested opposition leaders Mir Hossain Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi along with their wives. It took the Obama administration several days to even acknowledge the arrests, let alone denounce them. Occupational “therapy” for Jews threatened by mass-murder
While DEBKAfile reports that – given that the Russians seem to have agreed with the Iranian anti-Semitic rackets upon starting to feed it with nuclear fuel rods already on the 21st of August, protecting it from an Israeli attack – Israel has probably only one week left for damaging the Bushehr atomic facility without causing much harm to civilians, the so-called Middle East Quartet, of which Russia is part, enthusiastically represented by the new face of the EU, Catherine Ashton, has found just in time another “good” distraction for the Israelis, coercing the anti-Semitic PA president Mahmoud Abbas into “direct talks” within a few hours while there are signs that it is willing to impose its own preconditions on Israel in his stead now, e.g. putting pressure on it to make Judea and Samaria judenrein.
While the “Quartet” and the whole world only feigns to be serious and concerned not only for the Arabs who in their majority, especially in the “West Bank,” still wish to destroy Israel, but even for the Jews, and is indeed only torturing the Israelis in order to have them make more and more concessions to those aiming at their destruction, by acting as if it is all just a game like the Nazis’ “games” explained by the protagonist Guido to his own son in Roberto Benigni’s kitsch film “La vita è bella” in order to have him have some kind of a happy childhood despite the Shoah, Caroline Glick has recently explained (again) the seriousness of the threats Israel is facing thanks to the fact that the West would so very much like to dream on of “peace” and “friendship” with those who are preparing a new Holocaust, and, for a little afterward, the rest of the West’s end:

The first real “official” dead victim of the Turkish-led Islamist “freedom flotilla”
Given that, as opposed to the Turkish “activists” or the Iranian MPs vowing to arrive next, Yehushua Sofer did not seek “martyrdom” for free, will the Turkish prime minister Erdogan apologize and pay compensation to his family? Or will his associate European or US “peace activists”? Or the EU, the “honest broker”, which in the meantime has already jumped on Erdogan’s bandwagon pressing hard for a further easing of the Gaza blockade?
Photo by: Israel PoliceA faction of Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyr’s Brigade claimed responsibility for Monday’s terror attack in the Hebron Hills in which Israeli police officer Yehushua Sofer was killed, reported the Palestinian news agency Ma’an.
The attack came as a response to the raid on the Gaza aid flotilla, according to the report.

Turkish-led “peaceful” Jihad flotilla ship MV Rachel Corrie is on its way to Gaza from Malta
This was reported some hours ago by the blog The Muqata which is currently providing much material about the “peacefulness” of the deadly anti-Semitic Hamas support “show” strongly sustained by the Jihadist Turkish prime minister Erdogan.
Erdogan, according to Wikipedia, “was given a prison sentence [in 1998] after he had read poetry regarded as a violation of Kemalism by judges. It included lines translated as ‘The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers…'” (Before reading that, I was quite sure that he had read the quoted sentence aloud, approvingly, and enthusiastically, to a large public, but Wikipedia will certainly know better! He read it secretly under his bedspread.)
The Muqata has published, among others, a photograph of one of the faithful present on one of the “peaceful protest” flotilla:
Amano/Biden: Israel’s survival definitely off the table
While, in order to give Israel another one of those daily international community blows, all aimed at its annihilation,
[t]he head of the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency is asking for international input on an Arab-led push to have Israel join the Nonproliferation Treaty, in a move that adds to pressure on Jerusalem to disclose its unacknowledged nuclear arsenal[,]
Joe Biden tells the EU parliament the joke that
[t]he United States and European Union have stood side-by-side to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons[,]
adding that
Iran’s nuclear program violates its obligations under NPT and risks sparking a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
Nothing more.

Urgent press release: Prof. Arnold Cassola explained and put in context
When, on April 27th, Prof. Arnold “Ghandi” Cassola, “Alternattiva Demokratika spokesperson on EU and International Affairs,” stated on his blog that:
Of course, any shooting against anybody is totally un warranted[,] [sic, italics added]
he was trying to compress two distinct statements into one single too short sentence, possibly causing some confusion to readers. Apparently he was pressed too hard by his, Alternattiva Demokratika’s, and the-Maltese-people-as-a-whole’s acute “full square” solidarity with the new Maltese non-violent anti-Zionist anti-siege hero “La Paloma” Bianca Zammit.

We are ready for any Arab option. If they want to go to war let them declare that and mobilize their armies and their people and we will follow suit”, sagte zum Beispiel anlässlich des jüngsten Gipfels der Arabischen Liga in Libyen ein hochrangiger Assistent von Mahmud Abbas, dem von den USA und der EU unterstützten und von diesen in letzter Zeit vertrauensvoll auch militärisch – pardon: polizeilich – besser ausgerüsteten “Friedenspartner” Israels.
My grandfather and the “foreign minister” of EUrope
Not long before the father of my mother died, despite being already heavily enfeebled he was still strong enough to convey his probably last important “political insight” to me, after my mother had finally managed to drag me to his home to pay him a visit. It was in the period of the collapse of the Soviet Union, and of the German “reunification”, when from his sick bed he informed me of a historical mistake he and his Volksgenossen had made, stating in a relatively conciliatory tone that “we should not have been that rough with the Russians,” in order to add just one breath later: “But as to the Jews, we should have killed all of them.” As if the Germans themselves had decided to stop it at a certain point, and had not been stopped by, among others, the Red Army.
It is a pity he is already dead, for were he still alive, he would probably be quite enthusiastic and feel confirmed regarding his views by the first result of the European-led “critical dialogue” with the Iranian islamists accomplished by EU “foreign and security policy chief” Javier Solana, thanks to which the Russians may now have a chance to prove even more than before that my grandfather’s late self-criticism, “in a way,” went in the “right” direction. Russia, in one way or another, might now help prepare even more than before a new large-scale mass-murder of Jews by “[shortening] Iran’s road to a nuclear weapon“. And if the Iranian anti-Semites will not accept anything anyway, at least, the Russians, together with Solana and Obama, Germany, France, the UK, China, will have helped the Iranian Holocaust-deniers buy some more precious time, strengthening them (and, for a while, the EU) “sustainably” against the U.S., the “big Satan” (Khomeini), by undermining even a few UN Security Council resolutions – something that would probably have greatly satisfied my grandfather, too.
Dealing with true believers
I think we need to get our heads around one thing. When Ahmadinejad says he will destroy Israel, he is not speaking rhetorically. He is speaking literally. Ahmadinejad and his bosses believe that first Al-Mahdi then Jesus will return to earth. Al-Mahdi is the Islamic messiah, and he’s number one. Jesus is his deputy. Then a Jihad will occur between the forces of good and evil. Little Satan-Israel, big Satan-US vs. the true believers. This will precede the Last Days. Jesus will slay Dajjal, marry, have children and proclaim Islam as the last word of God. This is Ahmadinejad’s living dream. The Americans and Europeans simply have no idea what they’re dealing with.

Iranian warning system “locates” revolution führer Khomeini
Up above a big military parade in Tehran on Tuesday, Sept. 22, as Iranian president declared Iran’s armed forces would “chop off the hands” of any power daring to attack his country, two air force jets collided in mid-air. One was Iran’s only airborne warning and control system (AWACS) for coordinating long-distance aerial operations, DEBKAfile‘s military and Iranian sources disclose.
[…]
Eye witnesses reported that the flaming planes landed on the mausoleum burial site of the Islamic revolution’s founder Ruhollah Khomeini, a national shrine. According to Western observers, no distress signals came from either cockpit indicating that the collision and explosions were sudden and fast.

Iran can make nuclear bomb, is building a delivery system
[…]
Experts at the world’s top atomic watchdog are in agreement that Teheran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and is on the way to developing a missile system able to carry an atomic warhead, according to a secret report seen by The Associated Press.
[…]
It appears to be the so-called “secret annex” on Iran’s nuclear program that Washington says is being withheld by the IAEA’s chief.
The document says Iran has “sufficient information” to build a bomb. It says Iran is likely to “overcome problems” on developing a delivery system.
