Quote of the day (from yesterday)

иконографияКартини“No country can win a war that is fought ‘defensively’.  ‘Tit for tats’ don’t work.  Limited operations and hits against the enemy do not work.  Israel must go on a full scale attack against its enemies.  The Defense Minister needs to be fired, and a Minister of War needs to be appointed.  A minister of war that will lead the country to fight as is needed, until the enemies of Israel are crippled beyond repair, until THEY and the populations that support them, beg Israel for peace, and not the other way around.”

Darkness, light and journalism

матрациAbout a month ago I had a strange experience. Reading a certain interview published on the Jerusalem Post’s website, I had the impression that the person interviewed was explaining to me very clearly the reasons why I had been so depressed for the last 17 years (at least) – even if I am not Jewish and my personal history, at first sight, would not seem to be connected at all to the recent history of Israel (which was the topic of the interview). His words relieved and encouraged me. In other words, and as the saying goes: I finally saw a ray of light. But the ray of light suddenly disappeared again when I read the last interview “question”:

Bianca Zammit, first anti-Zionist Maltese with a leg almost martyred by Jews

“Where is our government, a maltese citizen is shot and it has to be the leader of the opposition to raise voice, clearly we are a small country but at least raise the matter and make a whole scene out of it.”

Comment of a “maltastar.com” reader

Sliema, Malta, 5/12/2008
Sliema, Malta, 5/12/2008

On April, 24th, 2010, the Times of Malta reported that

Bianca Zammit, 28, a Maltese pro-Palestinian activist, [was] being treated at the Al-Aqsa hospital after being injured [by Israeli soldiers] during a protest calling for an end to the blockade of [already “judenrein”] Gaza.

and that

She was shot in the leg.

The Times of Malta

wrote:

“It was a peaceful protest, they had no reason to shoot us,” Ms Zammit said from her hospital bed. She said that similar protests were held in the past and the Israelis usually fired in the air. This time them [sic] shot at the protesters.

Perfidious Jews! You never know what you can expect from them! The Jerusalem Post reported about the same incident stating that the soldiers had only shot at the legs of some protesters, and only after having fired in the air to no avail, but that cannot be true. According to the Malta Independent OnlineMs Zammit has already stated that “when Israeli soldiers shoot they shoot,” i.e., “they shoot to kill,” and therefore it is clear that, given that they were not allowed to kill Palestinians and/or Europeans or Americans, during the previous demonstrations the Israeli soldiers had been shooting all the time at some birds in the air in order to kill at least something, but this time their bosses obviously had allowed them to  shoot even Maltese women (and some Palestinians) dead, instead. But, as it seems, they did not succeed in doing that. The Times of Malta wrote that two other people were shot too, but not dead, either. It also wrote that

[t]he three were shot after they entered a 300-metre-deep no-go zone previously declared by Israel on the Gaza side of the frontier.

And that along with the Maltese Paloma Bianca, there had also been a few more people, who probably are still alive, too.

The incident occurred when some 150 people, including six foreigners, began a demonstration to protest against the ban, which prevents Gaza farmers from using the land.

And, you see, this is, as everybody knows, typically Israeli, too! Indeed, as one can read in many comments posted on the Maltese Times Website, and especially in those posted by certain Jew experts like Martin Cassar, Israeli Jews not only like to kill, but they are also always eager to steal land from Arabs. While they doen’t even seem to be afraid to use the most ridiculous pretexts for doing so. In fact, in this case, for instance, according to the Jerusalem Post, a non-Maltese newspaper,

[t]he IDF stated the area was one were [sic] explosives had been planted and IDF units ambushed on numerous occasions, and it would not allow Palestinians to enter the area surrounding the fence as this endangers its soldiers.

Sehr geehrter Herr Kaufmann!

My grandfather and the “foreign minister” of EUrope

Not long before the father of my mother died, despite being already heavily enfeebled he was still strong enough to convey his probably last important “political insight” to me, after my mother had finally managed to drag me to his home to pay him a visit.  It was in the period of the collapse of the Soviet Union, and of the German “reunification”, when from his sick bed he informed me of a historical mistake he and his Volksgenossen had made, stating in a relatively conciliatory tone that “we should not have been that rough with the Russians,” in order to add just one breath later: “But as to the Jews, we should have killed all of them.” As if the Germans themselves had decided to stop it at a certain point, and had not been stopped by, among others, the Red Army.

It is a pity he is already dead, for were he still alive, he would probably be quite enthusiastic and feel confirmed regarding his views by the first result of the European-led “critical dialogue” with the Iranian islamists accomplished by EU “foreign and security policy chief” Javier Solana, thanks to which the Russians may now have a chance to prove even more than before that my grandfather’s late self-criticism, “in a way,” went in the “right” direction. Russia, in one way or another, might now help prepare even more than before a new large-scale mass-murder of Jews by “[shortening] Iran’s road to a nuclear weapon“. And if the Iranian anti-Semites will not accept anything anyway, at least, the Russians, together with Solana and Obama, Germany, France, the UK, China, will have helped the Iranian Holocaust-deniers buy some more precious time, strengthening them (and, for a while, the EU) “sustainably” against the U.S., the “big Satan” (Khomeini), by undermining even a few UN Security Council resolutions –  something that would probably have greatly satisfied my grandfather, too.

“Palestinian resistance” for advanced Jew-haters

There is an interesting, very very sophisticated discussion, including some “good advice” for disturbers, at Wikipedia about how anti-Semitic mass-murderers may be characterized in Newspeak, given that terrorists may not exist, and, worse, anti-Semitic mass-murderers may not be called “freedom fighters” either [my bold, orthography not mine].

“Some people” here would include Hamas, no? Who have called for the destruction of the state of Israel and the etsablismeent of (all of ) Jerusalem as a Palestinian capital? IronDuke 00:20, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

On occasion, yes Hamas has said that, though they also have said they would accept a state within the Green line in exchange for a long term truce. [A judenrein state for themselves in lieu of the Jewish State? – RR] Im sure we could find a way to clarify the meaning of what it is they fight for. But that is discussion that is best kept separate from determining how, or whether, to include the word “terrorist”. nableezy – 00:37, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

we need to stick to the guideline here. per wp:terrorist, the note on this very talkpage says that words like terrorist and freedom fighter are “inherently non-neutral, so they should not be used as unqualified labels in the voice of the article. If a reliable source describes a person or group using one of these words, then the description must be attributed in the article text to its source, preferably by direct quotation, and always with a verifiable citation.” both views (terrorist and resistance) are notable but they need to be attributed.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Untwirl (talkcontribs) 02:37, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

“RED ALERT :: Obama Planning Israel Ambush at Next UN Opening!”

Several sources have informed One Jerusalem that the Obama Administration is planning to significantly step up the pressure on Israel by announcing a comprehensive plan for Israel and the Palestinians at the opening of the United Nations General in September.

President Obama Getting Ready to Ambush Israel. Help Stop It Now! Join One Jerusalem!Picture this: The anti-Israel nations of the world surrounding President Obama as he demands that Israel give up sovereignty over Jerusalem, abandon settlements, and recognize a terrorist state on the West Bank.

If this happens, Israel will be isolated from the rest of world in a very dramatic manner. Help stop it by joining One Jerusalem!

The first sign that something was up came when Egyptian President Mubarak said that the Obama Administration was ready to propose a plan in September, and the White House rushed to dampen expectations by declaring that they are nowhere near to readying a plan.

Our sources confirmed that the Obama administration is contemplating this ambush of Israel at the United Nations.

At the moment, friends and supporters of Israel can help derail this insidious plan by helping to publicize the intentions of the Obama administration. Join One Jerusalem Now!

Spread the news to family and friends. Forward this mail and encourage them to sign up!

By focusing public attention to this ambush, we can help avert it.

Michael Rubin: Silence Is Not Neutrality

Obama needs to support freedom in Iran

by Michael Rubin
National Review Online
June 23, 2009

http://www.meforum.org/2168/iran-silence-is-not-neutralityraman amplifier

Over the weekend, both conservative columnist George Will and former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan argued that conservative criticism of President Obama’s rhetorical restraint amidst the Iranian protests was unwarranted.

“The president is being roundly criticized for insufficient rhetorical support for what’s going on over there. It seems foolish criticism,” Will said.

“To insist the American president, in the first days of the rebellion, insert the American government into the drama was shortsighted and mischievous,” Noonan wrote. “The ayatollahs were only too eager to demonize the demonstrators as mindless lackeys of the Great Satan Cowboy Uncle Sam, or whatever they call us this week.”

Both Will and Noonan are right that Obama should not endorse former Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi, but the president should certainly speak up for the principles of freedom, liberty, and free elections. He should point out that Afghans, Iraqis, Pakistanis, and Turks — almost all of Iran’s neighbors — have freely chosen governments, and that this is a right that the Iranian people should also enjoy. Indeed, he can cite the Iranian legacy of elections going back to the constitutional revolution early last century. Right now, the Iranians are suffocating under a media blackout. In Tehran during the 1999 student uprising, I remember the frustration in the streets at the lackluster international response, especially as Iranian state television began broadcasting forced confessions.

Did the Vatican do too little to hurt the Nazis? Or too much to help them?

A 1941 New York Times article provides key evidence in a momentous dispute

by Jared Israel
Editing and translation by Samantha Criscione

A well-informed, Vatican-friendly voice from the past — The New York Times — reports a Vatican policy of subversion to push Yugoslavia into the Nazi camp and, failing that, break it up and bring the clerical-Fascist Ustasha to power in a faux-independent Croatia.

“The pope does not go to the museum.”
— Vatican Ambassador Antonio Franco, quoted in
“Pope to shun disputed Israel photo: envoy,” Agence France Presse, March 10, 2009

In April 2007, Vatican ambassador to Israel Antonio Franco threatened to boycott that year’s observances at Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Authority. Following bitter criticism, the Vatican backed down, and Franco attended the observances.

In March 2009 Franco announced that, during his Middle East trip in May, Pope Benedict XVI would visit Yad Vashem but would definitely not enter the Yad Vashem museum, thus contradicting standard protocol for visiting dignitaries. And in May, Benedict XVI did indeed boycott the museum.

These actions, diplomatically severe and aggressively publicized by the Vatican through statements to the media, are part of an intense struggle between Israel and the Vatican over Eugenio Pacelli, otherwise known as Pope Pius XII. The bone of contention? A caption under a picture in the Yad Vashem museum, criticizing Pacelli for his role during the Holocaust. [1]

Seltsam

Durban II and the Human Rights Watch religion

A few days ago an organization called Human Rights Watch called on a well-known mad anti-Semitic führer committed to the destruction of Israel, to renounce on a great deal of his “identity”, leaving from now on one different people or religion, as well as freedom of expression, in peace:

Human Rights Watch called on Ahmadinejad to use his presence at the UN racism conference to announce an end to repression of the Baha’i people in Iran and a commitment to allow freedom of expression – an essential protection in the fight against racism worldwide.

It has done so not without hinting at the repeated elimination threats by exactly the same führer and other members of his clique against Israel, the Jewish State (oh, well, okay, even if without any reference to his proxies’ ongoing real actions in various countries aimed at making these very threats true).

What does this teach us? Continue reading Durban II and the Human Rights Watch religion

Stay constructive, Jews!

And everything will be alright:

Former British prime minister and current Quartet Middle East mediator Tony Blair has been making daily statements warning of a breach with Israel if the Netanyahu government doesn’t fall in line.

Or do you want us to build a tiny little Nazi-Germany – uhm, sorry: another free Kosovo! – in place of the whole of Israel right now?

On Wednesday, for instance, Blair threatened, “There is no alternative to a two-state solution, except the one-state solution. And if there is a one-state solution, there’s going to be a big fight.”*

So be kind, trust us, and start waving the right flag again, Jews,

EU Peace Flag

and you will see that, however we will call it, one-state, two-state, second final solution, everything is gonna be alright.

Wills

When, in the Führerbunker, Hitler once again invoked the eradication of Bolshevism and the merciless resistance against the “world poisoner of all peoples,” “international Jewry,” as his testamentary will, he especially deplored the dereliction of an audacious policy of friendship with Islam, explaining by this the defeat.*

Gerhard Scheit, in: konkret, 12 (December)/2000)

“Let me say very clearly that the way the European Union will relate to an [Israeli] government that is not committed to a two-state solution will be very, very different,” said Javier Solana, the EU’s foreign and security affairs chief.
